Since I now have my Holtz Watercolor Cardstock out I made another watercolor project. I used Holtz Distress Inks, in marker and reinker format to build up my own background. I then used my new silver gilder's paste with a script text stencil and put down some partial words and in the upper right corner is the word "Art". I used a couple more stencils on the bottom with texture paste.

Mini Snowflake Card

Mini Snowflake Card

Last Saturday's Splitcoast Stampers Inspiration Challenge is a fun one. It is a website for an artist who makes "ant" sized art. I was mesmerized by all these teeny tiny images and believe I went through her entire site. I picked 5 that I most likely have small enough stamps to replicate and so far have been able to find the time to complete one. The hostess for the challenge directed us to...

I bought this zipper die set from My Favorite Things because one of my many side gigs is decorating hoodies with custom cut vinyl and rhinestones. I've had that business since 2006 and when I started papercrafting I thought for sure I could make this style of card for my clients and might even make some signage for my mobile store with it. Now two years after that purchase my health has forced...

Hello Glitter CAS Card

For my previous article, I created a "paint on stamp" watercolor card and of course messed up the smooth side of a sheet of Holtz Watercolor Cardstock sheet and thought it would be fun to sponge a sunsetish background on the rough side and then rough up the edges. I used Basic Grey Stampin' Up Ink which is a heavier super juicy ink and it workd great, getting the ink down into the texture. I...

This project was created for two Splitcoast Stampers challenges. One of them was a technique I've never tried so I will also use this for the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - try a new technique as well. I recently discovered a retired flower set called Field Flowers made by Stampin' Up. I found it on accident because I was looking for Flowering Fields which is a new set I'd bought for Sale...

Because of the Splitcoast Stampers directive to use humor for this week's "ways to use it" challenge, I got out my two Deep Red humor sentiments. I finished the first project. It came out very nice, with a more serious look about it, typical of a card I would make. For this sentiment I thought I'd add a level of complexity and use today's SCS Inspiration Challenge which is a minimalist...

Stamp A Stack Card #5 - Tea Cups My Version | www.stuffnthingz.com

This is my final Stamp A Stack (SAS) card re-do. My friend just asked me if perhaps re-do'ing these cards is somehow offensive. So I want to explain a bit more about my own concept of changing someone's design from a paid for event. First of all I enjoy these events. I go as much to make new projects as to visit with my crafting pals. Yes by signing up for the event I am signing up to be...

Senile Friends Card

I put this card together to satisfy two Splitcoast Stampers challenges. Use humor and use something related to the postal system. I started with a Holtz embossing folder with Air Mail stamps. I decided to color the folder with Memento Paris Dusk on a cream base. I then sponged the edges using two distress inks colors: Antique Linen all around and Walnut Stain on the four corners. Then on the...
