Publish Date:

I had a request from my DH yesterday to make him six thank you cards for his business. He uses them to pay for services throughout the year. The last time he asked was the first time and I spent way too long figuring out what to do. I was ready for him this time. I made a quick video showing the supplies I used and demonstrated how fast they are to make when using my method. Video length is 4...

We continue to streamline our storage. Changing fluffy cotton towels for microfiber towels is a big step in the right direction! I reveal and quickly compare our new towels to the old in a short video and will followup after we wash and use the new ones. Yay for more storage space! Video Length 2 min 28 sec.

Here's the link to the towels we purchased:...

Website Moving To A New Host

The website has been slowing down and is now producing a high percentage of errors (it has been increasing over the summer). In addition to the errors there are now parts of the admin interface that I cannot open (like the block on the top right side with the expired August Stampin' Up! promotion). I've done my research and have bought a different hosting package that should be a better...

Make and Take Coffee Thanks A Latte Card

There was a workshop at our retreat in which we made two projects. This was the first one we made. I enjoyed working with Stampin' Up! Products I don't own. In some cases they are duplicates, or very similar to what I already have. In this case I already own a coffee set and would not justify owning another so similar, but I still enjoyed making the card and having it in my "collection"....

I made this project for my Father In Law's birthday coming up in January. You might be thinking, wow, now thats some pre-planning! Reality is that I had wanted to make this card for him for this January, but I could not find the seabirds stamp. I looked everywhere for it. Keep in mind I live full time in a 33' fifth wheel and am very, very organized. It was not to be found.

Fast forward...

This is my favorite project from the retreat. I accomplished alot of organization projects and made a few cards. I do think it is interesting that I lean toward larger organization projects over crafting at retreats. I think it is because I have long stretches of uninterrupted time so I know I can complete something no matter how long it takes. A card is easier to make at home because it fits...

This project was made for the Creative Cat Crew Color Challenge #23. I am running a bit behind because I am now in our home town for a few weeks and boy are we busy! The challenge Stampin' Up! colors are: Real Red, So Saffron, Tangerine Tango, and Whisper White and here is the inspiration image...

I could not wait to get this video posted. I had planned to do a voice over but haven't learned that process yet. Instead of dubbing in my voice, I added lots of captions. I was able to compress 40 minutes of video down to 8 min 33 secs. I had a great time creating with this kit I absolutely love all of the layers!
