highway 66 | Tracy Marie Lewis | www.stuffnthingz.com

On the way back up to Peace River, hub opted to take 27 back in lieu of 41. We saw lots of cane fields, and burning cane fields. After dealing with Pacific Northwest fires all summer, it was very sad to have to drive that way seeing the haze in the sky and the smell of burning. Eventually we turned onto 66, which is the highway we take to go play disc golf at the YMCA.

We were about 10...

Snowflakes in Copper & Blueberry Bushel card front | Tracy Marie Lewis | www.stuffnthingz.com

This design is based on the negative cutout of the Beautiful Blizzard Snowflake die. For each sheet of snowflakes you cut, you end up with an entire sheet of cardstock ready to be adhered to a contrasting background color. In this case I chose Blueberry Bushel cardstock. I used liquid glue to adhere the sheet and the individual snowflakes.

Next, I added a strip of copper glimmer paper...

Center Focal Season's Greetings Front | Tracy Marie Lewis | www.stuffnthingz.com

This card front focuses on many layers in the center of the lovely background DSP from Joyous Noel. I cut a rectangle of vellum to add a hint of structure behind these layers. The rectangle and circle labels come from Stitched All Around.

I used copper heat embossing on the sentiment which is from Wishing You Well and the label is from Merry Christmas To All. The green glimmer leaves ...

Happy Holidays Card Front | Tracy Marie Lewis | www.stuffnthingz.com

We are back on the main land now. Our last day in The Keys was Hub's birthday so we had to celebrate before we left and after we arrived in Homestead. All this celebrating was followed up with some disc golf at the southern most course in the continental US.

Now it is back to business and I have more Christmas card fronts to share. I should mention that Stampin' Up! sent out an...

Our Florida Keys Journey - Part One - From Homestead To Big Pine Key

Publish Date:
10/25/2018

We left Peace River bright and early in the morning. I chose driving along 41 through the Everglades. It was an uneventful three and a half hours. Our arrival was much more interesting than the drive. This resort is actually almost 100% mobile homes. The turn in to the gate house was so shallow we could not get ourselves moved into the center lane out of everyone's way. While I was trying to...

Easy Holiday Card Fronts | Tracy Marie Lewis | www.stuffnthingz.com

I found a fun design on Pinterest to make a set of swaps with. Unfortunately Pinterest is down right now. Who has ever encountered Pinterest being down? So I went to downdetector.com and sure enough lots of reports of it being down. So I am posting this without the pin but will add it as soon as Pinterest is back up again.

This design is pretty quick to make. I created a dozen with many...

New Trailer Storage | Tracy Marie Lewis | www.stuffnthingz.com

We have been on the road this time around since the end of May, so almost five months. I've made all of the adjustments to my craft storage and now feel comfortable with revealing to everyone what my space looks like messy with everything out, as well as a followup video with everything packed away ready for travel.

If we are staying overnight or just a couple of days I will NOT bring...

Peace River Thousand Trails | Tracy Marie Lewis | www.stuffnthingz.com

At first Peace River looks like a sleepy campground, which it is, compared to Orlando. But after a week at each Florida resort I am surprised at which one wins for us.  Drum roll.......  Peace River! And yes, the pictured signs are all along the river's edge...good thing we are not overly scared of either, cautious yes, but more curious than anything, and no we didn't see either one!
