Die Cut And Blends Colored Floral Card
This weeks Creative Cat Crew Color challenge colors are so pretty! This weeks color range is Rich Razzleberry, Berry Burst, Pumpkin Pie, Pear Pizzazz, and Marina Mist Here is the image used for inspiration:
I made this card at my mom's house so I could use some of her supplies. I also did not have any of my Stampin' Up! cardstock yet, so used the closest match from her cardstock. I was able to match Pear Pizzazz again using the green cardbase from the SAB free cardstock set "Tutti Frutti".
I used both the stamps and the dies from SAB as well, which means most of this card was made for "free". Isn't that a lovely feeling!
I enjoyed using the new blends to color the flowers. I then borrowed a white gel pen to add the white dots on the flowers and then I just kept going, adding white accents to the lettering as well. And finally I was able to tilt the focal image at an angle to dare to be a little different. (sort of a cheat because I did it last week as well). Historically I have had a very hard time tilting card elements at an angle and I like that I am able to "overcome" my rigid 90 degree angle-ness.
One more unique feature of this card that is different than the norm for me is that I did not pop up any of the elements. I thought the card looked great without the extra dimension.
I have entered this project in the following challenges:
