Floral Many Layered Congrats Card
It is hard to believe another week has passed by. I failed to get an early start on the Creative Cat Crew color challenge so today was the day to break out this week's colors which are: Blueberry Bushel, Pineapple Punch and Whisper White. I find three color challenges extra challenging since I love color. The fewer the colors the harder it is. But that is why it is called a "challenge". And here is this week's inspiration image:
I wanted to break out a new stamp set as my own personal challenge. I have a couple that have not been inked yet which I find amazing as I make cards just about every day. Clearly I am playing favorites! So Today I grabbed "Wood Words" and CASEd a Stampin' Up! image from Pinterest that did not work when I tried to save it so I did not get a link to share with you. I altered the colors of course and the sentiment is a die cut, not a label. I also added ribbon and rhinestones, the sample I was looking at had no embellishments.
I did not pay much attention to the dimensions of my layers as I was more concerned with making it visually appealing so here is how the layer dimensions ended up:
Top Layer:2 3/8" (a touch under) x 4 3/8"
Blue Mat: 2 1/2" (also a touch under) x 4 1/2"
Second Floral Layer: 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"
Second Blue Mat: 4" x 5 1/4"
I am entering this project in the following challenges:
- Creative Cat Crew color challenge #67
- Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Use a die or punch
- TGIF Challenges #169 - Heat Embossing
