Thank You Kindly Card

This week I waited until the very last minute to make this week's Creative Cat Crew color challenge card. I was busy with a community sale for most of the day. It hasn't rained for months, and today, the day of the sale...of course it rained. But hey, it is better than smoke and fires!

The color's for this week are: Crumb Cake, Melon Mambo, Balmy Blue, and here is this week's inspiration image:  As you can see there is no white, vanilla or black, so I stayed true to the image and used just those three colors. 

I used watercolor pencils to brighten up the inks on the Crumb Cake. The wreath was inked first with Melon Mambo, stamped and then inked with Balmy Blue, wiped random areas off and stamped it again. This wreath is a sneak peek of the new stamp set "Wishing You Well" from the holiday catalog that is launching on September 5th. Another sneak peek is the braided linen trim, which is so pretty and intricate looking in real life. I used a Balmy Blue Many Marvelous Marker to color the Tulle Polka Dot Trim and had to break out my copics to color the pearls as there isn't a close Balmy Blue match with the Blends. I used Copic B32 on the pearls. I love the new Tufted embossing folder and this was a great opportunity to use it. I think it came out quite cute and very country looking.
