Good evening all! Today I've joined the NC (North Carolina) Demos blog hop for March. This month is a showcase of the 2020 retiring in colors. I am so sad to see them go as they are a grouping of bright cheery colors! If you joined me from Ariel's blog, I hope you enjoyed her project, and if you are joining now, welcome to the hop!

Currently my husband and I are staying in Washington state because we happened to be here when the Corona Virus hit. We felt it would be best to stay put until it makes sense to safely continue our travels. This is our fourth year of traveling full time in our fifth wheel. We have traveled from Washington to the Florida Keys and back and are anxious to continue this unique lifestyle.

For the hop, I created a semi-clean and simple card using the Painted Poppies stamp set with Blueberry Bushel ink. The sentiment is from the Inspiring Iris stamp set which has lovely small cursive sentiments. Silver foil and silver metallic pearls add some shine to this card and I finished it off with polka dot trim.

Here are highlights of the Blueberry Bushel ink treatments I added to the small flowers (I used very a very light hand, barely touching the cardstock):

  • Sponged using finger dauber
  • Applied one edge of the small splatter stamp over the flowers
  • Applied stamped off entire stamp (small splatter) along the stems

I love comments and would love to hear how this blog hop will inspire you to make something new today. I also enjoy hearing about your travels. Click the below next image to hop alog to see what Libby has made for us, and I thank you again for joining the hop!

First and foremost, safe travels to you once you are able to get back on the road! I'm intrigued that you are able to stamp while on the road, I would never be able to downsize my stash, lol!

I love the beautiful simplicity of your card! Goes to show that you don't need a lot to make a big statement!

I did not think I could travel and craft at the same time, but I was willing to give it a go and it has been worth the effort! Thank you for the compliment on my project as well:)

I see we both like the same color! I love your card.

I love the flowers! Stay safe.

Pretty card! I love how the thanks is shaped over the flowers. Sorry you're stuck away from home.

Love everything about your card.

Lovely card - I love that you're not afraid of some white space. Nice choice of image to keep it simple.

What a lovely card, Tracy! I love the Blueberry Bushel with the poppies! What a great idea! Thank you for sharing!

Hi Tracy. Your card is great. I moved to NC from Washington state in 2006. We lived in Gig Harbor and had gorgeous views of Mount Rainier. Miss that!!

Tracy - Your card is simply stunning! I love the simple beauty of your design. It is gorgeous. Thank you so much for sharing and for giving tips on how you made your card.

Please be safe as you continue to travel.
