Black and Tan Smile CAS Card

I made this project in conjunction with the previous post. the background was a stamp off of an acrylic block using Stampin' Up Tip Top Taupe. i chose to make this very CAS sans any ribbon. I was very tempted to add more than just the leaf sprig but refrained for fear I would ruin it. I chose the swirly smile sentiment from Happy Snippets.

I have had this project on my to do list for some time. The Sheltering Tree Stamp Set from Stampin' Up is one of my favorites. I recently played with inking up a block for a background with another set and knew I wanted to do the same with this set. I stayed with colors from nature, green and blue for greenery and sky.

I wanted to try my hand at a distressed parchmentish looking card. I picked a smaller acrylic block and covered it with Stampin' Up's Tip Top Taupe ink. I like how the edge ink makes it look like a frame. I made a second stamp off for a lighter look and used the leaf. I then used Memento Black ink for the flower.
