Purple And Orange Dragonfly Floral Friend Card | Tracy Marie Lewis | www.stuffnthingz.com

I wanted to create a project outside of my comfort zone in color, paper and card style. I challenged myself to start with a dark card base, fold the front down, I used Copic X-press IT for the floral image and then used vellum for the sentiment, leaves and dragonfly.

I also used metallic inks on the dark grey base in silver and copper. I wanted the floral image to float over the folded region. I used purple and orange mats on the front page and then reversed the colors for the inside mat so the card giver can write a message on the ligher orange mat. This is not my favorite project but will still be fun to give to someone since it is so unique.

Copic Sketch markers used:

FV2 BV0000, BV00, BV13, BV34

G82, G94, G99

FY1, E07, YR07

N4, N5, N7

I love what you've done here!  The concept of the dark against those gorgeous flowers is truly stunning.  I also really appreciated the details you included.  This is the perfect mix between rustic and elegant and I'm so glad you shared your talents with us for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!
