Tis the Season Deer in the Trees Card | Tracy Marie Lewis | www.stuffnthingz.com

After making the star and leaping deer card, I decided to use the same sentiment as on that card but this time using my woodland dies. I picked a light blue grunge patterned background and dry embossed it with falling snow - LOVE this embossing folder, I put it in the supplies list below. I cut out a snow bank and edged it with Distress Stickles designer Clear Rock Candy.

I cut the birch trees frame, used Copic Sketch Markers (C1, C3) and again used the Clear Rock Candy stickles. I finished the trees by edging them with Distress Ink - Vintage Photo. I cut a cute red bird die and a few mini pine sprigs for a splash of color. I popped up the sentiment and then the entire piece is popped up on a white base. The birch tree die is framed with a finished size of 5 1/4 x 4 so there is a thin border of the base showing around the edges.

The deer die and birch tree dies were a Christmas gift from my sister in law. They are still my favorite dies. Alas, I can no longer find the deer die to buy online.

Beautiful card. I found your link through Pinterest. Where is the deer die from? I don’t see it mentioned in the supplies list.

My sister in law bought that for me back in 2013 when I first got back into cardmaking. I wish I'd kept track of the packaging, but I didn't know any better. I've since looked many times for it and believe that it is now a discontinued die. It is my favorite deer die of all time!

Stephanie - It is from Taylored Expressions - Birch Tree Accessories

Pam, thanks for the info. I am adding it to the supplies list now!
