February 2019 Stamp 'N Hop - Love | Tracy Marie Lewis | www.stuffnthingz.com

I am joining the Stamp 'N Hop group for a February "Love" theme blog hop. This is such a clever, talented group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all over the world and I am always excited to get to hop around and see what everyone has created.

Currently my husband and I are camping very far south in Arizona in a lovely town called Sierra Vista. It is at 4600 feet in elevation, surrounded by mountains, some even have snow on them if you can believe that! It has been colder than our previous location which was in the desert at a much lower elevation (2800 ft).

We are both so glad to be where we are right now because in our home town up in the Pacific Northwest it was a chilly 5 degrees the other morning with eight inches of snow on the ground and more incoming snow. I don't think it was ever that cold when we lived there. BRRRR. I am SOOOO glad I am not there right now!

For today's hop I have created a 3D wall art project. It uses die cuts, a punch and two embossing folders. I created a short video showing all of the choices these die cut sets come with as well as a tip on how I punched out the butterflies which are from the Sale-A-Bration Botanical Butterflies DSP which is FREE with a $50 purchase! Video Length 12 min 21 sec.

I glued the butterflies to the heart using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I let each butterfly dry for a minute which then gives the glue a tackiness ensuring they stay upright after I set them in place. My husband has a sense of humor and he calls this project "Swarm Of Heart Eating Butterflies".

Our little trailer has wood trim on the slides in the kitching/living area (one on each side). You can see that they have a rectangular box which is perfect to showcase anything I make. There isn't much wall space for hanging items so these two boxes is where I put up holiday art. I hang them using 3m Command Poster Strips which are easy to pull off the wood without causing damage or leaving residue. I will also point out that behind each trim, we have mounted LED lighting and we can change the color or make it change patterns etc. The lighting makes up for not having space for alot of decorations. That edge is also perfect for setting out cards we receive from friends and family.

You have been busy, love it

Thanks Andre! That is what my husband says! Like you, I have a very bad back and when I work on tedious projects like this one, he threatens to sit on me.

Love this Tracy, it has an almost vintage look to it, gorgeous x

Thanks much Mo! I can tell I am in a vintage, shabby chic, distressed mode right now, my projects keep leaning that way.

Absolutely gorgeous Tracy

Thanks Jenna!

What a lovely card Tracy & who doesn't love butterflies. Enjoy your time in Arizona, sounds like lovely place. TFS

Thank you Vicky! We are evaluating where to have some property and right now Florida is winning because of the weather. It is still pretty blustery in Arizona, even the locals have said it is the worst winter here in a long time.

Love all those butterflies! And your hubby is funny :)

Thanks Jenn, Yes my husband is a card...sorry, could not avoid the pun!

Love your work - it's beautiful.

Thanks so much Pia! I love all your fancy fold cards...I need to do some of those:)

Lovely project. So sad these gorgeous papers sold out so quickly.

Thank you Sandra... I too am sad about products running out. It is a good and a bad thing.

What a great way to decorate your lovely space - love all the fluttering butterflies too.

Very cute Tracy. TFS
