3M ATG Tape 1/4" General Use
If you use alot of tape, there is a knock-off brand out there. I've used it and it is only ok....
Sometimes I get an idea in my head and even though it is way too much work, I just can't stop. This is one of those projects The flowers took an inordinate amount of time. I cut two matching floral die cuts usung Bermuda Bay cardstock from the Petals And More Thinlits Dies set. then cut two more out of Blackberry Bliss. I laid out the Blackberry Bliss outlines on a piece of Crumb Cake pattern DSP. Then I painstakingly glued each petal of Bermuda Bay inside the outline.
Once that was finished, I trimmed the focal layer down to make a long vertical and then matted it with Blackberry Bliss. The label die cut was cut twice, once in Whisper White, and again in Blackberry Bliss, which I cut in half an slid out to show on either end of the Whisper White. I Stamped "Thank You" in Blackberry Bliss on the top. I placed the finished label on the decorative Crumb Cake die cut. It ended up sitting horizontal to the focal on an A2 size card. To add interest I weaved burlap ribbon behind the focal layer and attached the whole thing to a Bermuda Bay base.
I cut the base down to 4" x 5 1/4" to allow a thin border of Whisper White to show around the edge.
This project taught me that paper piecing is alot of work, mainly because the petal pieces are so similar it is hard to figure out where they go. It is like a puzzle. If I were to do it all again, I would definitely use adhesive backing rather than mono glue.
The final touch was a few Faceted Dots in Blackberry Bliss.
