June 2018 Kre8tors Blog Hop - Stitched All Around Thank You Cards
Today is the June Kre8tors blog hop. We are sharing our favorites from the new catalog. My name is Tracy Marie Lewis and I hope you will join us today to see all of the great projects along the hop. This year's catalog is packed with a wide variety of papercrafting projects. You can download all 240 pages in PDF format by clicking the catalog image in the right column.
Everyone needs thank you cards, so for today's hop I used Stitched All Around's "thank you" sentiment stamp and Many Marvelous Markers to make four different color coordinated sentiment focals.
The first card was made on a black base. The colors from one of my supreme team leader's color challenges got the creative juices flowing. It called for black, green, tan and white. Linen thread and pearls finished it up.
The background of the second card uses the stitched background die. Two colored circles in Blueberry Bushel and Granny Apple Green were combined with the focal layer. A white base, silver baker's twine and pearls added the finishing touches.
The third card used my alma mater's colors, Purple and gold. This translated to the Stampin' Up! colors: Gorgeous Grape and Crushed Curry. The card is a CAS design using the long dotted stamp aligned vertically. I have the new Stampin' Up! glitter dots on order, so for placeholders I used two DIY purple dots where they will go once I receive them. I think this one is my favorite.
I found a Basic Gray piece of cardstock that I'd previously added the stitched background die to and had leftover from a previous project. Once I make something with a die or stamp I store any extras in the case with the dies and stamps. I find this the best way to store unused parts and pieces. When I store these extras in cases by themselves I can never find them, or I tend to forget.
The colors used to make the fourth and final thank you card were Calypso Coral and Night of Navy with a white card base. The stitched label die in Calypso Coral was added as a layer under the thank you focal.
The focal layers were attached to the front with silver baker's twine. Finally, the new Delightfully Detailed Faceted Dots in Grapefruit Grove finished the card.
I hope you enjoyed these projects and will continue along the hop. If you get lost along the hop, you can use the Roll Call List below to guide you.
