Koi Fish Retreat Cards
I took a little break after we moved on the first. We are now spending some time in Prescott Arizona. We really love the rocks here. There is an awesome place to visit should you ever get the chance, the place is magical. It is called Watson Lake and is right in the middle of Prescott. It is full of boulders as far as the eye can see, in and around the lake.
Mid week we played the disc golf course there. After being in flat Sierra Vista, it was quite the challenge scampering up and down the rocks and ravines playing, and I thought we both played very, very well. It was so much fun. Every wednesday it is free to use the park. Other days it is $3. I have to say that we were at Watson Lake a year and a half ago and I was too intimidated by the course to try to play it and this time it was no big deal. My game has vastly improved!
Ok on to my project. This is one of my mini-retreat cards. Libby and I used "All The Good Things" and the same colors: Night of Navy, Granny Apple Green and Balmy Blue.
I hand cut the fish down by eye as well as the sentiment. For embellishments I added the twine and glitter enamel dots.
Libby's card is spectacular:
I love how she colored the fish! She distressed the edges of the focal layer and then sponged with night of navy. She used the seaside embossing folder on the Night of Navy backgrround and added the linen thread as an embellishment.
Once again even with specific colors and stamps, look how different our cards came out.
All of the products shared today are in the Stampin' Up! annual catalog which is live through May. This month demonstrators will get to see the 2019 annual catalog and a retiring list will be published so now is the time to get any products on your wish list before they sell out.
If you are looking for a demonstrator, I would love to have the honor. I enjoy helping others along their crafting adventure, whatever their goals may be. I do offer FREE gifts when you use the current monthly host code.
Thanks for stopping by, please feel free to leave comments or questions, I am here to help!
