I made this card for a few challenges but my notes I wrote regarding the one challenge using materials making up the word LOVE is the Splitcoast Stampers CAS (Clean and simple) challenge, which made me laugh "after" I'd finished. I am a more is always better kind of crafter so without those three critical letters, this is what you get:) It wasnt until I was surfing through the Inspiration site of the week on Saturday that my plan came together.

I started with a variety of die cut flowers, leaves (for the "L") and stems in the Splitcoast Stampers color challenge colors for the week. I then cut out a stitched oval to satisfy the "O". The butterflies are vellum and I added those last because I chose vanilla colored cardstock for the "V" and thought that might be cheating a little. I then cut out a smaller stitched rectangle and embossed it with a partial embossing pattern. I formed the flowers and glued them together with Glossy Accents. Because of the height of the flowers and butterflies I chose not to raise up the oval or embossed layer.

I chose a sentiment that was long and skinny to fit the right side of the oval. The verse is from ODBDs Loving Memories stamp set which I love and use all the time. Back to the flowers: the large ones are Lil' Inkers Spring Flowers and the tiny flowers and leaves are new to me from Impression Obsession. They are just what I was after, something small to use as filler. I used Copic Sketch marker E50 to warm up the white pearls. I thought this came out well. I am entering this in the following challenges:
