Agapanthus Casting Card | Tracy Marie Lewis | www.stuffnthingz.com

The idea for this card came from the Splitcoast Stampers Try a New Technique Challenge for this week which is paper casting. I use MD toilet paper which is a soft 2-ply tissue. I separated 4 sheets so that is 8 total sheets since each is 2-ply.

The tissue itself has a nice dotted swirly pattern on it and I wanted to retain as much of that as I could. I wet the area using my finger so it would not be over saturated and left the rest of the tissue dry. I then dried the casting using my space heater. I tore the edges, fluffed the layers some, and finally rolled the four corners a bit. I applied the casting with 3m dimensional foam.

I scored a border on the base which is 110lb Recollections cream cardstock. This was totally off the beaten path for me, I really enjoyed the process! I think I am going to use another layer along the bottom, popped up with dimensionals, it will have the sentiment Happy Mother's Day. But I am undecided so thought I'd better get this posted as is. And as I finished this up I thought Aha! I've made a successfuly CAS card that was FUN and easy to make:)

I am also entering this project in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, Make it Girlie.
