While I recover, I thought I would document one of my favorite art pieces. We've now moved into our tiny home and because it is a favorite took it out of its frame and put it in with my card samples.I started with brown core'dinations card stock, dry embossed it with a Darice embossing folder and then sanded the embossing to expose the kraft color under the brown.

I then used heat embossing to harden the edges of the paper using brown embossing powder and curled two opposite ends by wrapping them around a small diameter brush end. This was for the bottom layer which I wanted to emphasize so I exposed 1/2", which is way more than I would normally show. The top layer is watercolor paper with the running horses and sentiment that I colored with distress ink.

I made the hint of mountains using torn post-it paper distress ink. I chose light blue for the middle layer and then used bronze brads in the corners of the white top layer.  The horses were colored using a brush and Distress Ink.
