Patriotic Singing Mice Card

I colored this cute patriotic singing mice stamp back in June. Then I promptly lost the colored piece in the shuffle of life. This month I found it and made myself finish the project. I try really hard to finish what I start. Finishing started projects often forces me outside my comfort zone. Now I plan a phase two for the finished piece and want to document the original version before I make some changes.

Here's some background on the next phase of coloring I intend to add. I recently discovered some artists who use the Copic Original Markers with the super fine nib to get finer hair and grain details. I plan to go in and add some details to the mice and the brushes, I will then take another pic and will post it here. I just bought 10 different natural colors with a 10 pack of the superfine nibs. B100, T5, N5, C5, W5, E59, E35, E37, E18, E27. E07, E09. I chose the darker colors on purpose to start with.

The sentiment is from a retired Stampin Up Patriotic set. I used Recollections Cardstock Red and Blue for the cardstock layers.

Flag colors: R46, B28
Mice: W1, W3, W5, W7, E00, E01, E11

I am adding this project to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes.
