Holtz In The Moment Card

This card has spent all of its life in pieces being shuffled about in my studio. The bits for this card were lost in the shuffle, then were stored in on of our many "paper to sort" boxes. Last week we finally sorted those boxes and I found the bits of this card and put it at the top of my to finish pile.

Back in the day when I first started crafting I made 5 x 7 cards so this card was challenging as it was better sized for A2. I did not know it at the time or it would have been finished sooner. Because the color combination of pink to purple is a favorite of mine, I did not give up on this card. To me because the bits for this card are now over three years old, I think of this as a recycling project.

The focus layer is on watercolor paper with two of the four sides torn. I left it that way. The colors were already applied, as well as the bow. I added the pink fiber in the opposite corner to balance it. I had selected the mat color, but it was for a 5 x 7 card size. I cut it down to make a thin mat and the mounted it on an A2 card base which I then trimmed down some. I thought it turned out very nice!
