Nine Thank You Cards
Ok for day twenty three of the 30 day coloring challenge, I had to cheat, just a little. For our business, we needed some thank you cards to be used while we are traveling. They are to be given to our partner to use. This is one of our prep tasks that I'd been dragging my feet on for some time and the time has come that we are leaving so I needed to buckle down and get them done. I opted for using existing materials to make room for my newer materials. I had done a bunch of dry embossing, some with sponged distress inks. I also have a large selection of inexpensive A2 sized cards in a variety of colors. I needed them all to be masculine and very simple so I stuck wtih tan and brown, and one orange. The embossed papers were gears, zig zags, leaves and one birch trees. The first three are Darice folders and the last one a Holtz folder.
For coloring I chose 3 distress inks and one Stampin' Up. I sponged the base, the embossing layer and the Thank You layer matching edges. The Thank You's I chose were I believe from Studio Calico kits and the other two I am not sure which manufacturer they are from because they are so old. Ironically NONE of the 4 stamps had ever been used. It was nice to get to use old materials and old stamps to get a "real" project done.
I did not use any dimensionals, I figured the embossing folders gave each card enough dimension. I could not decide which one was my favorite for the main image, so my husband picked the trees.
Distress Ink Colors Used:
Stampin" Up Color: Tip Top Taupe ( I tried to use Pumice Stone but it came out too grey and I really needed taupe so I am glad I have this 1" cube)
Other Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
I am entering this project in the following challenges:
