When I pulled out the flower stamp set, I also pulled out a background that I have never used. Yup, I have a wood plank 6 x 6 that has never been inked. I inked it up using Stampin' Up Early Espresso. I had color matched recollections cardstock to Stampin' Up's Tip Top Taupe.

I knew I wanted the bottom half of the card wood. I used Stampin' Up Island Indigo for the flowers and Tip Top Taupe for the leaves and stems. For the ribbon I chose Copic Sketch BG18.

I liked using the wood background as a thin mat around the white focal image. I applied small rhinestones on the flowers and finished the card off with a sentiment from Penny Black's Snippets.

Beautiful.  I love the teal flowers against the wood.  Thank you for joining the DL.ART June Linky Challenge.

What a wonderful card you've come up with here!  I am in love with how you incorporated tht greata wooden texture!  It looks rustic and elegant at the same time.  The color palette is lovely, too.  Thank you for sharing your talents with us for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!

Such a beautiful card, I love the blue flower and the woodgrain bottom!  Thanks for sharing with us at DL.ART Challenges!
