Brown And Blue Floral Friend Card

For today's project I used a Stampin' Up stamp set that I think it make such pretty cards. It has a unique sentiment "FRIEND" that I plan to use for these projects as I need cards to send to my friends back home. I decided this one would be on tan cardstock with aged brown edges and some random brown splatters round the edges. I colored the flowers with Copic Sketch marker colors: B00, B01 and B02. I find that you can apply Copics lightly on any type of cardstock. So I flicked the color on until I was happy with the result. I masked the flowers to add the fern stamps. To finish the project I applied Viva Gold Pearl Pen to the flower centers. I added a strand of blue fiber. TIP: If you have access to go to crafting garage sales or even bigger crafting sales in your community you can often find fibers in short yardage for really cheap. I own a pretty extensive fiber collection that I paid either .25 each or in some cases I bought a bag of mixed fibers for $1 and I split them three ways among friends. Three yards of fiber goes a long ways!
Note: in the picture, the blue fiber seems to glow and hs picked up a bit of the brown. In real life the fiber matches much more closely to the copic flower colors. This is the joy of dealing with pictures:)
