Stampin' Up Paper Pumpkin Kit - Happy Thoughts
I have had this kit out for the last two weekends of football. Yes I am a Seahawks fan, and actually enjoy watching all of the NFL games. I like to work on bigger projects in my recliner versus sit in my craftroom as my TV is above my head and I don't like to crank my head back all the time. So, the recliner with a low table is the best compromise.
As with these kits I started out true to the provided directions. I made myself create one of each card style using the instructions, but then Im off and running! I was too quick on card #8 so it is sitting unfinished. I am happy with the other seven. I took a close up of my personal favorite. Ah, and if you look close, you will see I made a very simple card using one of the free Sale A Bration sets, the Flowering Fields set.
On my favorite card, I used yellow. Later I used yellow again on one of the crafte cards with the postage Stamp square die. That is my second favorite. On both of these cards I cut out the part of the die sheet that was left when I popped out the flowers and leaves. It doubled the dies I got out of the set. I also trimmed off the excess paper from the envelope liners, further stretching this set. Now I will pack all of the extra parts away to bring out at later date. I added some of my DIY enamel dots because the colors were a perfect match. On others I sponged using the provided Stampin' Up Mini Ink pad. This was an enjoyable set!
My husband's comment on my favorite where I used the yellow is that the flowers look like they could be eggs. I so agree! Now I need to remember this set if I ever need to make an egg card:)
Still in my kit stash to complete:
Watercolor Wishes (I've seen this one done in person and it looks great, I am inclined to work on this next, but we will see...)
Tin of Cards (I've now had this the longest, which means I really should get it finished!)
Simon Says Stamp Card Kit of the Month August 2015 SUMMER SUNSHINE (likely saving this for summer)
Not that I will finish them in that order mind you:)
Thanks for stopping by!
