ODBDSLC268 - Hummingbird and Fuschia Thank You
I fell in love with the ODBD (Our Daily Bread Designs) hummingbird stamp and die when I first saw them. It took some time before I had the opportunity to purchase them (thanks ODBD for the random drawing gift certificate!) and so I had grand plans to use them right away. Unfortunately I got side tracked with a crazy project of creating Christmas cards in JULY and that snowballed until December. Net result is that I never did get the chance to use them. I brought out the set before Christmas and put it in my "must use ASAP" pile. I know that the local hummingbirds in my area are green, so I looked at hummingbird pictures on Pinterest for a more interesting color choice and found this crazy colored hummingbird that was absolutely beautiful. Here is my interpretation of its wild colors using my Copic markers! I used rounded corner Spellbinder A2 matting dies, and a scrolling circle label Spellbinders die to frame the Lil'Inker's stitched oval. I love using dies to nestle other shapes into. I rarely use my Stickles and thought that this was a perfect opportunity to put it to good use, however in order to make the Stickles sparkle I had to use the flash to get the right shot. I am entering this card in the ODBD Anything Goes Challenge for this week. Thanks for visiting!
