A Red Sympathy Card for Myself

This is another sympathy card I made for myself. I chose the prettiest flower stamp (second to my ODBD fuschia stamp.) This was a stamp I received for free with an order from a Split Coast Stamper Member. I think I scored getting this for free! I colored it with Copics. I chose red because that was my dear departed friend's color he used on his riding equipment. I remember years back when I was selling horse equipment he bought a set of conchos for his saddle and he picked ones with red enamel inlay stars. Later he got spur straps and a headstall with the same red enamel inlay stars. I am very sad that my friend had to leave this world so young and with a new wife. I am not sure how many sympathy cards I will need to make for myself until the pain of his passing leaves, it most likely will take a tall stack of these before that will happen.

I kept the card pretty simple. I used Spellbinders Rounded Rectangles A2 Matting dies. I colored a fat satin white ribbon with R29 copic marker to match the rose. I do love that I can have one set of white ribbon that I can make any copic color needed. I have a small stitched banner die I use all the time with Teeny Tiny Wishes sentiments from Stampin' up. I used red stickles on the rose to make it sparkle.
