Newton's Nook Love Card for Inky Paws Challenge #28
On Friday night I created a weekend game plan of cards to make. I've been so busy with work that I was feeling a bit papercraft deprived. This was the first card I was supposed to make, however, my plans were de-railed and I did not get to making this card until tonight:) I am often distracted by the nearest shiny thing so I am not surprised. Now on to this card. I LOVE the character Newton the cat from Newton's Nook Designs. Because my hands don't work so well, I like to find stamp sets with matching dies to avoid fussy cutting. Newton's Nook has started making matching die sets and each month they are releasing dies to match their older sets. Thanks to being a Top Pick a couple of times, I have been able to grow my collection nicely! I used the cute pair of cuddly cats from Newton's Antics as the focal for this card. The heart is a Gina Marie heart stitched die which got a workout this weekend. Love is from Penny Black and I thought the plaid DSP and DIY Enamel dots were enough detail to not take away from the focal point.
