Tis The Season Deer in Woods Card

Tis the Season Deer in the Trees Card | Tracy Marie Lewis |

After making the star and leaping deer card, I decided to use the same sentiment as on that card but this time using my woodland dies. I picked a light blue grunge patterned background and dry embossed it with falling snow - LOVE this embossing folder, I put it in the supplies list below. I cut out a snow bank and edged it with Distress Stickles designer Clear Rock Candy.

I cut the...

Tis The Season Deer and Star Distressed Card

Tis the Season Leaping Deer Card | Tracy Marie Lewis |

This is a mix of my two favorite Christmas card styles. Distressed wood grain with layers of stars mixed with woodland deer. I colored the seam tape ribbon with Copic Marker (G29) and Alcohol to give the varied green, I scrunched it up in a baggie then took it out to dry. I layered a very fine white lace ribbon with it to make the bow. I used some textured mint green holiday craftpaper for the...

Spellbinders and Memory Box Ornament Card | Tracy Marie Lewis |

This card is a combo challenge card. I am camping this week in our trailer. It is out second trip away from "home" which is a misnomer since where ever we go, our home comes with us. We camped just north of my husband's family so we could head there for Thanksgiving dinner. Earlier today we took a walk along the trail marked on the RV Camp's map. It started nice and easy, along a service road...

Wood and Clouds Feather Hello Card | Tracy Marie Lewis |

When I first started making cards I saved a card design that is still on my laptop to this day. If I knew who made it I would gladly give them credit as I CASEd that card to make this one. It was an all white card that used a square die cut and I used oval. They had a smooth top layer with the under layer being white vertical wood grain.

I combined this old card image with a new...

Lawn Fawn Merry & Bright Card | Tracy Marie Lewis |

I have a container full of Christmas bits and baubles. Included in these treasures are some leftover Copic Colored Lawn Fawn pieces. I also had some stashed stitched snowflakes from Lawn Fawn as well as some smaller Memory Box snowflakes. I was working on a multiples of 3 layout that would tie in with my use of a sentiment as part of my background. I ended up placing the sentiment staggered...

Dragonfly and Flowers Birthday Card for Mom

Awesomely Artistic Happy Birthday | Tracy Marie Lewis |

This is the other birthday card I made my mom. I used two Stampin' Up stamp sets. Awesomely Artistic and Labeler Alphabet. I had packed my Copic Markers away so for this card I used Sharpie Markers. Sharpie Markers I was able to cut the pieces out using Dies By Dave dies. He sells the dragonfly separate from the other pieces, so be sure to add that item if you want the entire set. I chose a...

Frilly Birthday Card for Mom

Mom's Frilly Birthday Card | Tracy Marie Lewis |

I make my mom a couple of cards for her birthday. The reason being that she is a card crafter as well and I pick unique styles that she can use for inspiration for her own crafts. This is my frilly style of card. She always gets one of these. I bought a fancy die set from Gina Marie last year. It appears to be no longer sold, I think had "vines" in its name. I worked hard to perfect the...

Southwest Style Holiday Card

Publish Date:

I needed to find some supplies from storage. While there I found two small clear cases of stamps where I'd separated the rubber from the wood block. One of these is a Penny Black wreath I love so I brought it out to play with. I decided on a Southwestern them holiday card based on the snowflake background tissue I wanted to use. I have Gina Marie's rounded stitched rectangle dies I've never...

Cupcake Birthday Card For My Hubby

Cupcake Birthday Card For My Hubby | Tracy Marie Lewis |

My husband is my toughest customer. He likes bold color, clean lines and no fussy embellishments. So this is what I made him for his birthday last week. I kept the colors simple. It is a chocolate cupcake with light blue icing and a red candle. I framed it with a Gina marie's X stitched die and then double matted it with blue and red mats. No sparkle, no bling. It was very hard to stop it...

Plaid Star Newton Christmas Card

Plaid Star Newton Christmas Card | Tracy Marie Lewis |

Here's my second project for this month's Inky Paws Challenge "cozy plaids". I did find one sheet of green plaid that I felt was somewhat Christmas-y. I had a tough time determining a shape for it and settled on a star. My husband's input on my grey snowflake card is that it wasn't very festive so my goal with this project was to make it more traditional holidy colors. I found a shimmery soft...
