Snowflake Plaid Newton Christmas Card

Publish Date:

I've been organizing my dies, which turned into a flurry of organizing all of my papercrafts. I found a few Newton stamped images from a previous Newton coloring session. I pulled these out and had them waiting for this month's Inky Paws Challenge. As soon as it posted I got to work. This month's challenge is "cozy plaids".

Now that I live in such a small space, I store the majority of...

Celebrate Grey Crazy Cat Card

Publish Date:

The background on this card was fun to make. I used stencils in three ways. After finishing the base background ombre in a rainbow of colors. I used a stencil and pulled up some of the color by blotting with a wet papertowel. next I colored a filigree stencil using Vintage Photo Distress Ink. Finally I used a chevron stencil with texture paste.

I noticed that the texture paste quickly...

Happy Birthday Crazy Cat with a Green Balloon

Happy Birthday Crazy Cat with a Green Balloon |

Everyone loves to dress up their cat right? So my theme for the first run of Crazy Cats cards is dressing them up. I used the Stampin Up Birthday Wishes stamp set as I wanted a more casual looking sentiment. This cat gets his own birthday hat and balloon tied to his tail. The dies you get with this set includes dies to cut out just the cats eyes and tails for added dimension. I cut out a...

Doesn't Know Better Cat Card

Publish Date:

Another funny saying. This one is from Funny Bones. I used glossy accents on the cats eyes, and the Milk bottle. I made some spilled milk by cutting out some cardstock, adding a little C5, and covering it with Glossy Accents. I thought this came out soo cute!

Background: Distress Inks - Fossilized Amber, Picked Rasberry, Seedless Preserves, Blueprint Sketch. Edged in Seedless Preserves...

Crazy Cat Apology Card

Publish Date:

I love the Dylustions Sentiment " I didn't mean to offend you, that was just a bonus", because I can use the first two text snippets and leave off the rest. I tucked the final two rows of text behind the envelope with dimensionals on back in case this card warrants the entire phrase. I thought the guilty looking cat carrying a bouquet in its tail was totally appropriate.I popped up the card,...

Crazy Cat Birthday Yellow Balloon, Red Gift

Publish Date:
Crazy Cat Birthday Yellow Balloon |

I acquired an already purchased but unused set of full size Crazy Cats Stamps. I then of course had to buy the matching dies. At the 12 hour crop (my first!) I attended last weekend I got down to it and brainstormed my color schemes for my cats and the accessories. In order to be able to mix and match I standardized on 6 cat and gift/balloon colors. It wasnt until this weekend that I finally...

Patriotic Singing Mice Card

Publish Date:

I colored this cute patriotic singing mice stamp back in June. Then I promptly lost the colored piece in the shuffle of life. This month I found it and made myself finish the project. I try really hard to finish what I start. Finishing started projects often forces me outside my comfort zone. Now I plan a phase two for the finished piece and want to document the original version before I make...

Lazy Newton Birthday Card

My niece turned 16 so of course I needed to make a card for her. I like to make cards that fit the individual. Her favorite color is lime green. She has two black and white cats. She loves to sleep in late and drinks coffee.

I combined all these elements together to make a perfect birthday card for her. I used the new Aloha Newton stamp set with the coffee cup from the Newton Loves...

Finally Played with Stampin' Up's Botanical Blooms

Publish Date:
Botanical Blooms Card | Tracy Marie Lewis |

In April I attended our spring craft bazaar. I like to have some crafty tasks to work on during the idle time so I cut a bunch of flowers and leaves using the Stampin' Up Botanical Bloom dies. I opted not to buy the stamps as I like to doodle and my task at the bazaar was to add lines to the leaves. The elements were cut from Recollections 65lb cardstock in fall colors (not sure why since it...

Oh Say Can You See - Flag Card

Publish Date:
Oh Say Can You See | Tracy Marie Lewis |

I've had 2 musical note dies for some time now. I finally found a layout for one of them. I put this design together that uses The US National Anthem song as its theme. I used my xyron to make a blue sticker which my mom then cut into the musical notes for me. I used a Darice embossing folder on the red base for the stars.

I lightly colored the flag in R37. The background on the flag is...
