Orange Flower Thinking Of You Card

Orange Flower Thinking Of You Card | Tracy Marie Lewis |

As we get close to moving to our next location, I wanted to work on some cards, but did not want to make a big mess. I thought if I just use one set of stamps, no dies and pick one style of embellishing I could keep the mess to a minimum. I plan to send these out to my card crafting buddies so wanted to keep them nice and flat for mailing.

Gold Embossed Fall Thanks Card

I've had this Stampin' Up stamp for awhile now. I really like it and always wanted to use gold embossing powder with it. I was making more ombre style backgrounds and created this really pretty fall colored one using Rusty Hinge, Brushed Corduroy, Gathered Twigs and Ground Espresso. I then took some new metallic ink and sponged it over the top and loved the resulting soft shimmer. I mulled...

Tulips Mother's Day Card

My final Mother's Day card is a multi-step tulip stamp set that I've had for some time. We just left the tulip fields the first week of April up in LaConner and I thought of my sister-in-law for this image. I used distress inks but did not log the colors that I used.

I cut out the image using Gina Marie's Loopy Rectangle dies. I colored a wider satin ribbon in a coordinating Copic color...

Sunflower Mother's Day Card

Sunflower Mother's Day Card | Tracy Marie Lewis |

I Copic colored many small images over the winter. As a result I have amassed a fine selection for use on cards. I had this colored sunflower and thought it would be perfect for my mother in law. I fussy cut it out which is something I avoid if at all possible, but I liked the patterned DSP I picked out and wanted to show as much of the paper as possible. I chose to cut out ovals using Gina...

Mother's Day Card For My Mom

Mother's Day Pink Flowers Paisley Card | Tracy Marie Lewis |

This card I made for my mom. I had dry embossed a paisley Darice folder on yellow quite a long time ago. I'd just bought a 24 pack of glitter so I glued green and pink glitter on the flowers and leaves. Then I could not figure out a use for it.  I pulled it out and told myself I would make something with it for my mom for Mother's Day..This weeks Splitcoast color challenge helped me decide...

Twenty-Seventh Anniversary Card

Twenty-Seventh Anniversary Card | Tracy Marie Lewis |

Cinco de Mayo 1990 (5/5/1990) was my wedding day. It was a black and white wedding. It makes for easy anniversary cards. There is no special color or item for the twenty-seventh anniversary so I went with the twenty-fifth anniversary color of silver. I made this card to give to DH so it needed to be as masculine as possible I chose a dark grey wood pattern DSP to help with that goal..

Heron Water Scene Birthday Card

Heron Water Scene Birthday Card | Tracy Marie Lewis |

I have had this heron since Christmas and have been waiting for the perfect opportunity to use it. DH's aunt lives near water on Long Island and will be the perfect recipient for this project. I sponged the background first, then cut the dies all in white, choosing white canvas Core'dinations paper for added interest. I bought the seabirds awhile back and was excited to get to use them for...

Holtz Coneflower Creativity Card

Holtz Coneflower Creativity Card | Tracy Marie Lewis |

I've coveted the Holtz coneflower stamp (and die) for some time. On Saturday I had the privilege to hop into Joann's as it was next to WinCo where we went to get some bulk foods. They had their typical spend $35 get $5 off, also a 60% off a single full priced item. Holtz is now bundling a flower stamp set with a stencil. I chose it to be my full price item. I also bought some paper, ink and...

Dream Sleeping Kitten Card

Dream Sleeping Kitten Card | Tracy Marie Lewis |

This card came out of nowhere. I colored the kitten before the fishes from my previous post. I'd spent a little time matching papers but became frustrated because nothing was working for me. After the fish card was finished I went back to the the kitten. I pulled out a thick stack of 6 x 6 cardstock that I'd received from a Splitcoast Stamper member who was purging her old paper, I just had to...
