Hello Card I Sent To A Fellow Cardmaker | Tracy Marie Lewis | www.stuffnthingz.com

I decided that I had PLENTY of cards on hand so to celebrate World Card Making Day, I pulled out cheerful cards to mail to my cardmaking peeps! I then spent alot of time on the envelopes as I like to do. I already forwarned Hub last night that I was going to be busy all morning. He respected my schedule and at 3pm we drove to the tiny town of Plain, Wa and I left my cards in the little silver...

I wanted to create a project outside of my comfort zone in color, paper and card style. I challenged myself to start with a dark card base, fold the front down, I used Copic X-press IT for the floral image and then used vellum for the sentiment, leaves and dragonfly.

I also used metallic inks on the dark grey base in silver and copper. I wanted the floral image to float over the folded...

How time flies! I am a new Stampin' Up demonstrator, and I've been working on my sales strategy which is tricky. Because I travel full time, I had to build something that will work for my potential full time travelling customers. So, I am going to be the Paper Pumpkin fairy! I want to promote a product that takes up little space and comes with everything needed to be creative in one little box...

I had a request from my DH yesterday to make him six thank you cards for his business. He uses them to pay for services throughout the year. The last time he asked was the first time and I spent way too long figuring out what to do. I was ready for him this time. I made a quick video showing the supplies I used and demonstrated how fast they are to make when using my method. Video length is 4...

There was a workshop at our retreat in which we made two projects. This was the first one we made. I enjoyed working with Stampin' Up! Products I don't own. In some cases they are duplicates, or very similar to what I already have. In this case I already own a coffee set and would not justify owning another so similar, but I still enjoyed making the card and having it in my "collection"....

I made this project for my Father In Law's birthday coming up in January. You might be thinking, wow, now thats some pre-planning! Reality is that I had wanted to make this card for him for this January, but I could not find the seabirds stamp. I looked everywhere for it. Keep in mind I live full time in a 33' fifth wheel and am very, very organized. It was not to be found.

Fast forward...

This is my favorite project from the retreat. I accomplished alot of organization projects and made a few cards. I do think it is interesting that I lean toward larger organization projects over crafting at retreats. I think it is because I have long stretches of uninterrupted time so I know I can complete something no matter how long it takes. A card is easier to make at home because it fits...
