Flamingo Tickled Pink For You Card

Flamingo Tickled Pink For You Card | Tracy Marie Lewis |

I bought this stamp set just for me... I say that because I try to buy multi-purpose stamps and IF I buy a very specific set it is because it is calling to me, and this flamingo set kept at it until I finally bought it:).

As far as using it goes, I love how easy it is to make a polished looking card. The flamingo itselt is a four step stamp. The top of the flamingo has a solid stamp for...

Stampin' Up!s Subtle Dynamic Expressions Embossing Folder Analyzed

Subtle Embossing Folder Demonstrated | Tracy Marie Lewis |

I have been seeing alot of posts regarding the new Subtle Embossing Folder. So, I figured I'd better document my thoughts on it. Back in June when I first received the product, I created a controlled experiment to test the effects of this embossing folder. The video showed varied colors as well as compares to smooth cardstock. I kept the design the same for all cards made as part of the...

Alternatives - Paper Pumpkin July 2018 - Picnic Paradise

I am a week late in receiving my monthly Paper Pumpkin kit. I am ok with that because it means that I am back on the road! I try to NOT pay attention to any of the alternative Facebook posts out there so that my alternatives are of my own making. I will say however that I knew this month came with cards and baskets. What I did not know until opening the kit is that the baskets are made from a...

Colorful Pressed Flowers - For You Card

Colorful Pressed Flowers - For You Card | Tracy Marie Lewis |

I spent a day with my crafty cohort Libby back in June. We had a great time making projects from our own mini challenges. I am much slower than she is but I was still able to complete quite a few projects that day. It was so much fun! That is one aspect of living on the road full time that I do miss: social crafting time with friends. I do appreciate these rare days when I meet up with fellow...

Floral Many Layered Congrats Card | Tracy Marie Lewis |

It is hard to believe another week has passed by. I failed to get an early start on the Creative Cat Crew color challenge so today was the day to break out this week's colors which are: Blueberry Bushel, Pineapple Punch and Whisper White. I find three color challenges extra challenging since I love color. The fewer the colors the harder it is. But that is why it is called a "challenge". And...

Colored Pencil Project #3 - Masculine Thank You Card

Publish Date:

Colored Pencil Project #3 was the easiest of the threel. Masculine and very simple. I cut a 4 x 5 1/4" background using the new Neutrals Pattern DSP and popped up a full width focal in the middle. I did sponge the top and bottom of the focal layer as well as the edges of the pattern DSP. Im glad to add this to my stash! I did link the colored pencil tutorial video here for reference. Video...

Colored Pencil Project #2 - Hello Stitched Card

Publish Date:
Hello Stitched Card | Tracy Marie Lewis |

The second colored pencil project was pretty quick and easy. I colored the "hello" sentiment from Calligraphy Essentials. I decided to emboss an Early Espresso background after cutting it with the background stitching die from Stitched All Around. I keep a spare parts envelope and used extra pieces from the envelope. I put it all together and added Granny Apple Green glitter enamel dots to...

Colored Pencil Project #1 - White Embossed Floral Birthday Card

Floral Colored Pencil White Embossed Birthday Card | Tracy Marie Lewis |

I finally had some time to "play" with colored pencil (Stampin' Up! Watercolor Pencils) on dark cardstock. I started with a basic gray focal layer. I masked it off using blue painter's tape (TIP: be sure to apply it to clothing repeatedly to lessen its stickiness and test it before applying) to two sides. The floral bunch from Southern Serenade was applied using versamark over the painter's...

Feminine Floral Sympathy Card

Feminine Floral Sympathy Card } Tracy Marie Lewis |

Today I completed sympathy card number two.  I chose a floral design from my stash of cut and colored pieces. This flower stamp set has a matching punch. I find it clever how the butterfly stamp uses the same four petal punch as the flowers.

I embossed whisper white with the Layered Leaves embossing folder. I had to use the same sentiment from Itty Bitty Greetings as it is the only...

Rooted In Nature Sympathy Card

Rooted In Nature Sympathy Card | Tracy Marie Lewis |

I received some very sad news today. A family member who has been in poor health, passed away. I need two sympathy cards for family and they will be mailed as we are currently travelling. I wanted the cards to be masculine but elegant as well. For the first one, I chose to not use any embellishments as it is being sent to a male family member. In order to give it a bit of a stepped up look...
