Kre8tors April Blog Hop

Welcome to the April 2018 Kre8tors Blog Hop. I am so excited to be a part of this creative group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators. I hope you enjoy my project and are inspired by everyone's great creations so be sure to visit all of the blogs along the hop.

April is a color based hop that is inspired by this image: Kre8tors 2018 April Blog Hop Color Image

Today's project uses Crumb Cake, Wild Wasabi, Pumpkin Pie and Berry Burst. To best showcase these colors I used two Stampin' Up! bundles: Hold On To Hope and Southern Serenade. I just moved into our new home. It is a lovely 32 foot long fifth wheel that we travel in full time. Our previous trailer was full of inspiring and faith based projects so I took this opportunity to make the first "faith" piece of art to adorn our new walls.  My very crafty friend Libby already made me a great "friend" art piece that I will hang on the other side. Both go great with our color scheme.

The layer sizes are as follows: Focal: 3 3/4 x 5 White Mat: 3 15/16 x 5 3/16 and the card base is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.

I used my stampin' spots to color the leaves in Wild Wasabi and the florals in Pumpkin Pie and Berry Burst. The cross is from the Wood Textures DSP pack. Glitter enamel dots finish the project. The backdrop for the image is one of our new pillows and the built in end table.

Jackie Lawless is next up on the hop.

absolutely stunning card you made!!

love your card, its beautiful, thanks for sharing!

Stunning card x

Love all of your Easter cards! I am wondering how you achieved the solid layer on the die cut Butterfly card. I think the effect is wonderful. Thank you

I used the solid pieces from the top die cut to put behind the second layer die cuts...The die cuts from the top cutouts are used to put as the bottom most layer behind the middle layer. I used a third color, and kept the top die cut for another project. Hope this makes sense. I also explain it in this video here: https://youtu.be/uyKuKiQrEZs
