I started off my saturday working on this week's Creative Cat Crew color challenge. This week's colors are: Daffodil Delight, Bermuda Bay and Whisper White. Here is the inspiration image:  There are three elements that are sort of rusty brown: the bowl, the door handles and the bench. I took the liberty of adding Cajun Craze to my project to represent those elements.

I wanted to make a non linear card to put on the lined pattern dsp in Bermuda Bay. I liked how my mat stack was looking but then thought of the ruffled ribbon I'd just bought. I purposefully bought the two lightest colors expecting to be coloring them with blends as needed. For this project I wanted to make Bermuda Bay. That simple task went off on a tangent and became a video study on how many different colors I could make coloring these two light ribbons with blends. I was surprised at how many color variations there were. I ended up creating swatches because there were way too many color possibilities to remember. It was easier to staple short colored swatches on a board with notes for later reference. So that is what I did.   Video Length 19 min. 26 sec.

Mat sizes:

Focal 3 1/4" x 4 1/2" (Sponged with Cajun Craze and Bermuda Bay)
Both mats are just under 3 1/2" x 4 3/4" (The white mat was sponged with Bermuda Bay)
Pattern DSP layer: 4" x 5 1/4" (Sponged edges with Bermuday Bay)

I am entering this project in the following challenges:
