July 2018 Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop - Soft Sayings Card Kit | Tracy Marie Lewis | www.stuffnthingz.com

Welcome to the July Stampin' Dreams blog hop! I am hopping with a global crew of incredily talented Stampin' Up! independent demonstrators. My name is Tracy Marie and I am excited to share my project with you today. This month's focus is on the various kits in the new annual catalog.

I chose the Soft Sayings card kit. The kit comes with a variety of card sizes. The focus for today is on the two smaller sized cards. I created four total alternatives, making A2 size cards from them. I convert the smaller cards to A2 for my card classes in the camp grounds where I stay. It is challenging to keep track of so many different sized cards, thus making fewer options is the best solution for me. I also take the time to make the designs somewhat equal in complexity. This ensures that new card makers experience a variety of card making skills and feel that they are paying a fair price for each card they make. The included video talks about the kit contents as well as the cards I created that I will then use as templates to prepare the rest of the kit for classes. Video Length 12 min 52 sec.

In summary:

Each focal layer will be matted and then mounted on an A2 Whisper White thick card base.

Focal: 3" x 3" Mat: Just under 3 1/4" x 3 1/4"
Focal: 3 1/2 x 5 (trimmed down to 4 3/4) Mat: just under 3 3/4 x 5

Every focal layer will be sponged with a coordinating color.
Every card will have a bit of gold glitter even if the kit instructions do not call for it, there is plenty of extra glitter left on the sheet to work with as shown in the video.

Here are pictures of each completed card.

I hope you like what I have demonstrated today. Don’t forget to leave a comment before you hop to Vicki and see her lovely project. Just click on the NEXT image below. If you get lost along the hop, you can use the blog hop list below to help guide you along.
