January 2019 - Kre8tors Blog Hop - Tic Tac Toe

Today I am joining the Kre8tors blog hop for January. This month we are playing tic-tac-toe and I chose the bottom row: Heat Emboss | No Layers | Ribbon.

Using the Swirly Frames stamp set from the annual catalog, I created a three color design in the upper left and lower right corner. Then I used the cake and sentiment from the new Occasions catalog, a stamp set called "Amazing Life". I found a solid balloon in the "Blow Out The Candles" stamp set (also annual catalog) and I used clear embossing powder over Real Red ink so the balloon is shiny. I used a black marker to draw the balloon string. I did not trim down my focal layer, it was adhered full size at 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" to a base so that it is a no layer card.

The cotton weave ribbon was colored with a Bushel Blue Many Marvelous Marker. It looks like denim which gives this the more masculine look that I was after. I will say when coloring the weave ribbon with these markers, it is slow to dry and you will get inky fingers!
