Watercolor Flowers Thank You Card
This project was created for two Splitcoast Stampers challenges. One of them was a technique I've never tried so I will also use this for the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - try a new technique as well. I recently discovered a retired flower set called Field Flowers made by Stampin' Up. I found it on accident because I was looking for Flowering Fields which is a new set I'd bought for Sale-A-Bration and it appears that these two sets are getting misnamed in Ebay and on Pinterest. So once I saw it in use I hunted down a well priced set on Ebay. I thought it would be great to try out for the watercolor painting on the stamp technique. It did take me many tries and I had to break out my MISTI to ensure perfect placement. I am so happy I bought that tool when I first started stamping. I never have struggled because I started my stamping journey owning it, and thus I did not ruin many cards due to misstamping, it also means I am a bit dependent on it. I used numerous distress ink markers in the colors that matched the color challenge colors. As instructed, I brushed the colors on, misted and counted to ten banana and stamped. I then stamped the sentiment using StazOn Jet Black.
