This is the other birthday card I made my mom. I used two Stampin' Up stamp sets. Awesomely Artistic and Labeler Alphabet. I had packed my Copic Markers away so for this card I used Sharpie Markers. Sharpie Markers I was able to cut the pieces out using Dies By Dave dies. He sells the dragonfly separate from the other pieces, so be sure to add that item if you want the entire set. I chose a periwinkle blue background that I cut out using Gina Marie's x-stitch rectangle dies. I stamped the images using Memento Tuxedo Black.

I have to comment on the Labeler Alphabet set. It comes with extra vowels but not consonants. For Happy I had to pop off the p to get the second p stamped, this took like 8 tries to get right. I find that annoying so at first I thought I would purchase a second stamp set. Then I had an epiphany. Can I just buy an actual Dymo labeler for a reasonable price? Why yes, yes I can, and I did. I got a Dymo for less than $9 off amazon. I bought 3 packs of black tape for a special add on price of 2.04 each. I received one more for free. None of the online stamping stores carry the labeler so I could not list it in my supplies list.

I popped up various elements, like the flower, two of the leaves and the dragonfly as well as the Happy and Birthday. The green was stamped with Memento Cottage Ivy. I stamped off for one set of the leaves and for the splotches I also stamped off half of them.

This project used LOTS of tiny pearls. I applied the sharpie light orange to each one. Any alcohol marker can be used to color both pearls and rhinestones. I only ever buy clear rhinestones and white pearls.

Sharpie colors used?

Leaves and stems - light and dark green

Flowers - yellow, light orange and dark orange

Dragonfly - dark grey accents - (Memento London Fog)
