Wood and Clouds Feather Hello Card | Tracy Marie Lewis | www.stuffnthingz.com

When I first started making cards I saved a card design that is still on my laptop to this day. If I knew who made it I would gladly give them credit as I CASEd that card to make this one. It was an all white card that used a square die cut and I used oval. They had a smooth top layer with the under layer being white vertical wood grain.

I combined this old card image with a new Splitcoast Stamper Inspiration challenge to help me with the color selection as I did not want to have it be all white as in the card I was to CASE. I made my top layer white wood grain with a blue cloud embossing layer inside the oval. They used a button accent, I just tied my hemp with a bow. They had a few more embellishments and I left mine plain, in honor of my very plain tri color purse that I picked out. I used white, blue and dark grey, but then tossed in a coupld of neutral tan elements. I was a bit of a rebel there.

I did use my rounded corner Spellbinders on the top two layers and left the card rectangular. If you want 1/8" layers you need to purchase both sets. I have listed them in the supplies section.

I used Distress inks for the feathers and the Hello. hickory smoke and brushed corduroy.

I created this project for the Splitcoast Stampers Inspiration Challenge - Bag, Borrow or Steal
