Woodland Deer - Let It Snow | Tracy Marie Lewis | www.stuffnthingz.com

Not ready to be finished with my favorite woodland theme, I made one last woodland card. For this one I pulled out all the stops. I started with a grey background and used white gel pen to create snow falling. I used a Cottage Cutz tree die in the back right corner for some depth, then I added a snowy hill.

In front of all those layers I used white vellum to give a sort of foggy snowfall effect. I used the full birch tree frame die with Clear Rock Candy stickles, Copic Sketch Markers (C1, C3) and edged the trees with Vintage Photo. I snuck in the regal deer die toward the bottom left in the front.

For the evergreens I used my own larger Holtz Sizzix Evergreens and edged them with vintage photo and added Clear Rock Candy. By now the card was getting pretty thick and the birch frame wasn't wide enough to hide everything nicely so I cut out a stitched frame using two of my Lil' Inkers Dual Stitched Dies.

Then it was ready for the sentiment. I chose "Let it Snow" and cut a very small Spellbinders filigree frame for it. Behind the frame I tucked in two very small evergreen sprigs using a Martha Stewart punch cut in white. I used Hickory Smoke to edge the let it snow frame and the top white evergreens. I added two small cardinals to the frame. I finally feel like I achieved the full woodland scene with alot of depth and character.
