3M ATG Tape 1/4" General Use
If you use alot of tape, there is a knock-off brand out there. I've used it and it is only ok....
I've had this stamp and die bundle for a couple of months now. It was by far the favorite item in this year's Stampin' Up Occasions Catalog. I haven't made the time to use the bundle yet so decided that I would use it exclusively for my March birthday cards. The challenge is that though one birthday is my mother-in law, easy, the second is my father-in-law which will be a bigger challenge as he is into motorcycles and street rods. So today my mom and I spent the day crafting together and I was able to finish both of them.
I stamped the detailed image first, then used shaded lilac on the outer edges with dusty concord inside on the shadow step stamp (its solid to fill in the wing color. I also then used the solid body stamp with Memento London Fog grey. I shaped the wings and added clear Wink of Stella. I then die cut a solid dragonfly usign the lavender sheen paper.
I wanted to make the lower sentiment area fancy. I don't normally do fancy Sentiments. I had access to my fancy dies which I store at my mom's and I chose a border die. I inset it into the glimmery light lavendar background and carefully replaced all of the little pieces so that the edge has a flat look.
Over the top of that I cut a fancy shaped white label (Spellbinders). Stamped a happy birthday in dusty concord using one of my mom's sentiments because I forgot to bring any sentiments, and I used two purple handmade enamel dots for brads on either side of the sentiment. The purple ribbon is from Michaels and is adhesive backed.
I used some cute sequins to fill the empty space. In the end I decided to cut the small group of dragonflies to have them flying off the card. I cut the background out using the full A2 size stitched rectangle die from Gina Marie.
I did have to fussy cut the detailed dragonfly, I am not fond of so much white around the edge. You will get a white edge with this die set.
I am entering this project in the following challenges:
If you use alot of tape, there is a knock-off brand out there. I've used it and it is only ok....
I've crafted long enough now that I've tried a variety of dimensional adhesive products. Some...
I have invested in all distress ink colors. I use the one inch pads with reinkers to save on...
I am not a huge sequin user, but love anything with the aurora borealis tone and this white...
Gina Marie is really focused on her products. I bought a set of her stitched rectangles last...
Thanks for stopping by, please feel free to leave comments or questions, I am here to help!
