DIY - Make Your Own Compact Ink Pads

I was so sad when I realized that all of my full sized ink pads were going to take up too much space in our new home. I researched my options for switching to the small cube and tear drop sized ink pads. Some brands you can buy and others don't have that option. Very conveniently I discovered that Stampin' Up carries uninked Stampin' Spots. I found a couple of other online suppliers but they were not actual stamping companies so I was worried that their cubes might be inferior for my needs. In addition the Stampin' Up Spots were priced slightly less than the others.

So this is a very easy project. You get your Spots (they come three to a pack) and whatevery reinkers you need and you fill the spots with your ink. I then took 1/2 of a small circle label and inked it up and put it on the top, on one half. I then cut velcro into a small square and attach it to the bottom of the cube and attach a round sponge to it. Every one of my Spots then has its own sponge. Easy Peasy!
