I've done quite a bit of coloring, but my projects have the typical white space around my colored image. This was the perfect image to color completely. I used a variety of copic colors as well as Vintage photo sponging around the edges to age the entire surface. I use Neenah Solar White 80 lb. for most of my white surface card applications these days. I like how much color that the Neenah can take. It is very durable for many, many layers of marker being applied.

I knew that the very busy DSP I planned to put under the image would look good with an aged parchment toned main surface. I bought some buttons and cut off the button loops to make the button lay flat. I then colored a white pearl with red Copic marker and dropped it in the center of the button. I colored the satin ribbon the same red and added red fiber to coordinate. The page edges were distressed and vintage photo applied.

I did not feel this card needed a sentiment as the Sentiment is already repeated on the background DSP. I used glossy accents on the bow and word wreath (which I left uncolored for the contrast) I added white gel pen dots to the wreath, and put some aged copper brads that coordinate with the button in the 4 corners. I applied a spray of Perfect Pearls, but there is not alot of real estate left to show it being that the background is mostly covered. In real life it does have a glimmer to the background that is subtle but nice. I've created this for the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge in which Holtz products are the focus. Thanks for looking!
